The spa is wayy overpriced for the amenities. 45€ for a sauna and a jacuzzi? Wow. And there is no breakfast included, you get free bread but everything is paid if you want an omelette or something. Ok location, boring town. The reception isn't helpful at all and check in was a nightmare
In addition to the stars, I'd like to thank the hotel staff for their great help when my wife was sick before the end of our stay. A lady kept working on the phone until she reached a doctor who was able to come to our room to see my wife. A gentleman escorted me to the pharmacy to buy medicine, and ordered very nice soup for my wife. I don't think we could continue our trip to Rome without their help.
Unfortunately the massages were some of the worst I've had. They blasted pop music so loud I got a headache. My husband and I both had therapists that felt like they were barely touching you. But no regrets bc It was a nice vacationy thing to do. We did the spa too and it was a little too dirty and cramped for me. Nice people and service.
Fantastic location in Montecatini, 5 blocks from the train station and two from the main street.
Great hotel and spa, clean rooms, nice bathroom and AC.
An amazing view from the restaurant, buffet breakfast included and the staff brings it directly to your table so you don’t have to leave your group and just relax.
I had such a lovely stay at Hotel Columbia. The staff were friendly and welcoming, my room was spacious, and the dinners were truly delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the hydropool and wonderful massages as well. This hotel is delightful, and I highly recommend it.
Very polite staff. Good location. Excellent breakfast witj good choice, serving in restaurant with nice view.
Spa zone is really good - you will find all necessary for relax and can use swimming pool till 22.00.
Decor of room is matter of your taste - you can choose. It was big noice from disco at cafe opposite during 1 night, but is not fault of the hotel of course.
Recomended for visiting
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. First of all we booked a '4 persons suite'. It turned out to look just like a 2 person's room with two extra beds shoved inside. One of which was even a couch.
Second of all its unclear that you have to pay extra for the spa. But thats fine However the price is way too high. €35 for one day excluding the bathrobe kit you have to rent for another €10 is too much for a so called spa that is basically a swimming pool with a sauna and a shower. This hotel charges you for anything they can think of. The bathrobe/slippers you have to buy (or so we thought) turned out that we had to return it after our stay. When you pay 35 euros for a small spa you should provide those things for free to use.
The third disappointment was the breakfast. Its included but it didn't feel that way. First of all it isn't a buffet style. I think most guests would prefer that over a 'a la carte' style of serving breakfast. Secondly we could only choose terribly few items. Only a small basket of breadrolls and a few croissants that didn't taste fresh at all. There were a few items to order next to the bread like pancakes. But most things you had to pay extra for. Even things like an omelet that are expected to be included like in every other hotel. And if you want to order a second time from the 'Free' menu you got to pay extra as well. This is unacceptable.
And finally your staff can be a bit more friendly. It felt like the staff were acting friendlier than they were. Everytime we were in a public area it felt like we were being watched like an insect. It wasn't contorting at all.
I have seen you react to these bad reviews in the most unprofessional way known to man so please consider using this information to better your hotel instead of stubbornly shout me out like you have done previously to other reviewers.

Let's start with the good things, the location is good both within Montecatini Terme and for visiting the bigger cities of the Toskana. Furthermore, the breakfast was decent with nice staff.
However, in general the hotel seems to try to look more high class than it is. A lot of the materials are imitations that haven't been maintained well. A lot of different parts are very loose, even one of the shower doors straight up fell off.
Some of our stuff was thrown away by room cleaning although it was covered by a jacket. I assume there was no ill intention there but at the front desk it felt more like they found the situation amusing instead of taking it seriously.
Furthermore, one should make sure to check the prices for the spa, which are quite steep, especially on the weekend, considering the size of the spa area.
Overall, I cannot recommend the hotel.
